The Rautes don't have a separate history. Although they are called nomads and descendants of gods, the origin of the Rautes is said to be Phukot of Kalikot. According to their statement, bishnu Thakuri's seven brothers and sons living in Phukot were expelled from the village for family punishment and had to live in the forest. 
There is no definite truth as to when this statement came from. Today's Raute is said to be the children of the same mahilo. Although the population of Rautes is around 700, the number of actual Rautes is now 142. 
Raute's much discussion on social media has led many to know about the raute's lifestyle, costumes and speech. Earlier, those who earned dollars in the name of NGOs and INGOs used to reach Raute settlement. Now, YouTubers go to Raute settlement to earn dollars. But there seems to be no change in Raute's lifestyle. They do not accept some reforms and social things. Some governments and society do not allow it to be accepted. 
In fact, the Rautes are the last and only surviving species of the nomadic indigenous tribe. Building a permanent home for the Rautes and making other arrangements is the elimination of the only nomadic species in our society.

The body of 25-year-old Geeta Kumari Jaisi Shahi of Lusa Maiti of Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-1 was found hanging, said Arjun KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Kalikot. Raute's life is being ruined due to alcohol, investment is being wasted

Om Shahi Surkhet | Eight years ago, in the year 2072, the young Kapil Shahi was seriously injured by burns. He was taken to Kathmandu and treated. However, the wound burned by the fire did not heal. It started to increase more and more. He resorted to alcohol to ease the pain of the wound. He had other health problems due to regular heavy drinking. Kapil finally died on 31 June 2077. Route chiefs. On 5 Jan 2079, Narayan Shahi, a young man from Raute, was seriously injured after drinking too much alcohol and sleeping near the fire.
